Unfortunately one of the things we encounter in our culture and in many cases the church, is this idea of consumerism. This notion that life is all about me, me, me.
This is not the heart of the gospel or the heart of Abundant Life. Our heart is to serve those in need and live lives of generosity. To ask: “what can I do?” and “what can I be for others?” We rob ourselves of joy and we rob ourselves of the fullness of life in Jesus when our default setting is all about me.
Services can and should be pursued by all those who have experienced the grace of God.
